Free medicines and free medical treatment through personal visits of doctors to the villages.
“If health is lost, everything is lost”. That means sound health is the greatest of all types of happiness. In view of this, the institute has arranged to send well qualified doctors daily with a mobile van in the adopted Talukas, to examine the patients in villages and provide them free medicine and treatment at their own residence. At present the institute has 4 such ambulance and mobile medical vans at its disposal.
The Institute has employed 5 (five) well qualified doctors with mobile medical vans to examine the patients and provide them free medicine and treatment at their own village. At present the institute covers more than 350 villages every week. Majority of the villages selected are remote and some of them do not have even basic medical facilities in 10 km radius. The doctors are employed by the institute on full time basis, devoting minimum 6-8 hours everyday. The doctors provide basic primary health care advice and medicines.
To serve the rural patients with more medical vans, with well-qualified and committed doctors is under consideration, 6 more such ambulance cum mobile medical vans shall be added, on the availability of qualified registered doctors.
Vaccinations
Vaccination and severe disease eradication programs are under taken from time to time in different areas. Recently a Hepatitis B Vaccination camp was organised, where vaccination was given to the total population of more than 500 people of village Babra, in Taluka Dehgam. There were more than 80 sufferers and 2 deaths of Hepatitis B during last two years. The institute is regularly on the look out such situation where providing vaccination to the entire village is necessary for eradication of diseases, may it be Polio, Hepatitis, smallpox, Triple etc.
