Chautra/ Chabutra/ Cement Platform

Our Sanstha has already completed the construction of 90 Platforms in different villages. The whole idea is to bring the elderly villagers on a common platform to discuss the various problems in the village, like drainage, drinking water supply, street lighting, road repairs and maintenance, encroachment etc. etc… Platform to make a collective effort for any of their common requirement, provide advice and guidance to the youth, solve internal petty differences at the village level itself. A common village platform shall also eliminate the differences amongst them of cast and creed, the rich and the poor, the weaker section of the society, jointly can have a greater say in the affairs of the Gram Panchayats.

Over and above the village platform can also be used for flag hoisting on 15th August and 26th January, to cultivate an atmosphere of patriotism and national integrity. A common place for celebrating various festivals like Navratri, Diwali, Holi and Pujas. Such a platform is a boon specially when there is a marriage in the village, or a Gram Sabha is to be conducted. Each one from the village male or female, rich or poor is given a stage to express their feelings.

Not only that, a provision has also been made to construct such platforms, where there are none, with a consent of village panchayat. These platforms shall also serve the purpose of meeting place for children in the morning, women at noon, and elderly people in the evening, where they can and discuss and exchange their thoughts and views, on any subject they like. The institute has also made provision for newspapers, to be delivered and read at such ‘Chabutara Meetings’.
